THE CHALLENGE
.
A full time job and raising my lil’ babes certainly poses challenges to consistent training. But, I decided that they are not big enough reasons to halt my dream to be strong and healthy.
.
ACTION PLAN
.
With minimal equipment, I started doing home workouts when Emmett and Ruby were just babies. I’ve gradually added equipment to support my programming and I continue to workout at home 3-4 times per week.
.
BENEFITS
.
It’s convenient. Everything I need for a good workout is within my reach at home. If I don’t get my workout in right after work, I’ll do it after the kids are in bed.
It supports an evening routine of physical activity followed by supper together as a family.
It allows me to spend more time with my kids.
It’s easier on my budget.
.
A FAMILY AFFAIR 👩👧👦
.
I’ve made daily workouts routine. My kids know the drill. When we get home from work and dayhome, they have a snack, the music goes on and it’s time for them to play and for mom to workout. Physical activity is the norm in my household and my hope is that it remains part of my kids’ daily routine for a lifetime.
.
GET CREATIVE
.
With the spring/summer months upon us, I’ll be taking the dumbbells outside on the driveway while my kids ride bikes and play with the neighbourhood kids.☀️
.
Stay tuned as I continue to make health and fitness possible under any circumstance. Where there’s a will, there’s a way. 💪🏻😉♥️
