βWhy run is the question often asked. Why go out there every afternoon and beat out your brains? What is the logic of punishing yourself each day, of striving to become better, more efficient, tougher? The value in it is what you learn about yourself. In this sort of situation all kinds of qualities come out – things that you may not have seen in yourself before.β

Iβve exercised to alleviate anxiety and redirect my focus by exhausting myself physically.
Iβve moved to prove a sense of self-worth to myself.
Iβve sought to make myself physically strong so that I could feel brave in my life.
It has provided me with invaluable lessons about tolerance, discipline, attitude and perseverance.
My fitness endeavors continually transform throughout each stage of my life.

Why do I do this? What is the meaning behind my dedication to discomfort?
Because Iβm hungry to know more of myself. I have an insatiable curiosity to understand my experience.
I want to dig in, push the limits, strengthen my commitment, feel everything – the fear, the pain, the reward. #growth #grit #gratitude #idowhatilove
