๐ŸŽŸ๏ธI received a front row seat to the human experience. If you can imagine of the most vulnerable, most life altering experiences of your life — I witness so many of these each day of my career.โ

๐ŸŒฑI’ve learned invaluable lessons. I’ve been granted opportunities to grow as a result of other’s experiences without having to endure them myself.โ

โ™ฅ๏ธMy job mandates service to others — this is an extremely fortunate onus. To be in service to those I might not voluntarily serve is a humbling and empathy fostering kind of work.

๐Ÿซ€Everyday I get the perpetual reminder that my health is valuable and that life can be short so, embrace it fully and live it well.โ

๐Ÿ˜œMy existing sense of humour has been elevated by this particular career choice.โ  We see some crazy shit.โ  It has the potential to make us #hilarious โ  Finding the humour in the absolutely absurd is remedial, baby. #tryit

๐Ÿ‘ฏโ€โ™€๏ธI met my closest friends through nursing. I’ve found the most beautiful and compassionate hearts in my colleagues. People who genuinely care about people. So much so, they dive into the wreckage to be present in grief, to provide comfort in suffering and to celebrate joy with others.โ

This career taught me about confidence, critical thinking, courage and interdependence.โ  I’ve gained considerable wisdom, connection and purpose in healthcare.
